Re: Need a new hobby
He's thinking outside the box now...
Trouble is all those things need going somewhere to do them really. Especially the kite surfing, I have a friedn who does that it it seems a big travel and time thing. It also requires some perseverence. Gliding or flying is a possibility, but its the learning bit puts me off. Fishing and a project is currently up there. |
Re: Need a new hobby
What about getting a helicopter licence. I know you say you dont want to learn but whats cooler than that?! Its where my money would go (if I had any)

Kitesurfing is awesome but massive amounts of faff involved, if the wind is in the wrong direction you'll have to traverse the country to find somewhere to go, or live on an island;) - The kit needs cleaning after you use it or it'll rot, normally when it's cold and dark after you've spent every ounce of strength you had spending "just another tack" on the water But it's still worth every minute:cool: |
Re: Need a new hobby
Can't believe no one has said it - learn a musical instrument (unless you alreadly play!) then go jamming at all the local pub jam sessions!! :D

Re: Need a new hobby
Have you tried flying model aeroplanes. Uses the internal combustion engine, lots of fettling, Very little personal risk. There are clubs that dogfight, the planes have long ribbon like streamers and the idea is to cut you opponents with your prop.
