I would have went, but the 30th is a bit too close to the 31st and the 31st is the start of a three day bender and my liver cant take a four day bender as I'm getting past it . :smt030

Re: Christmas Clan Gathering

meeting points (you lot decide):

Black Bull Tavern, Carlton Road (back entrance to Waverley)
The Cafe Royal, West Register Street (across from Waverley main Princess Street entrance)
The Standing Order Wetherspoons, George/Rose Street (roughly about the middle of George Street or Rose Street Lane North)

arrival time: i was thinking about 7'ish.

the idea is to 'crawl' along rose street heading towards haymarket station hopefully arriving at about 11:15pm

Why 'spoons? don't line Tim Martins pocket any more than you have to
its cheap for a reason and the food well you wouldn't want to see it delivered

I didnt think we were eating... I really dont mind where we go. Just thought the Standing Order was pretty central for everyone.

nowt wrong with 'spoons'. have you seen the food getting delivered to M&S, ASDA, MacDonalds and places like that?

yes it's cheep but you dont see anyone else dropping their prices to accommodate the market.

dont think we have time to eat anyway. 4 hours then home.:smt030

standing order is not that central considering most peeps will be coming on the train anyway. i was going to sugest the cafe royal but i'm a snob at heart.

oooooorrrrrrrrr we could just stick to one pub which is less of a hassle.

black bull used to be a 'gothy/biker' pub and is within EASY walking distance of the waverley. its also about 2 minuets from the omni centre.

there are loads of pubs within easy walking distance to the waverley including cockburn street 'folk pubs', blair street 'cafe/weird pub', the royal mile inc the famous 'worlds end'. so as you can see it depends what we want to do on the night.

me i dont care i just want to go out for a night and get a little drunk.
