Is that a blade rear seat unit?

My buddy has an SDC built K6 and I must say that I dunno how he is gonna race the thing cos the SDC rear subframe along with the CBR tail piece makes for the most uncomfortable riding position I ever experienced in my life. Bear in mind Im 6`2" and used to ride an Aprilia RSVR so for me to find his SV uncomfortable says something. It does look well though

Jusat in from the garage after a day freezing by fingers and toes off fettling the 600. Today was the start of the work, not the end.

So far I sorted the tyres (took a while, I've erm.. collected a few!)
Changed some old wets for some practice Roadtecs on a sexy set of new wheels

Taken the sub frame off and tried in vain to get the frozen stickers off it to start the rub down. far too cold.

Tomorrow the wets that are still on the bike from Mallory come off and the wheels they are on are being prepped for painting.

and I'd like to get the rear swinging arm off and grease up the bearings as that's a job I've been threatening to do since before Christmas.

Might even get as far as getting the whole fairing off and seeing what state the radiator is in.

But hopefully there'll be heating in there tomorrow (well an upside down flower pot with a candle underneath it anyway! Works way better than you'd think!)

Its going to be a long road ahead.

I have been riding for over 35 years and at the grand old age of 43 I am having a midlife crisis and decided I would have a go, so here goes
