Defo get out to meets and rideouts, before joining the org i didnt have any biker friends, got a load of mates i socialise with, watch footie with etc etc but only one is into bikes and cant ride :( so the org has enabled me to meet new people and as Drew said, i havent met anyone yet i didnt like. I was nervous the first time meeting people as i can be quiet to start with and i'd never done anything like that before, all my friends are mostly ones i have known for years so it was a new experience for me, wouldnt give it a second thought now, i'd happily meet anyone off here and know they would be welcoming (well most anyway lol) Phil |
Re: Could use the Org's help...
Cheers, its good to hear other people have been in similar situations and managed to get out of it, was beginning to think i might end up friendless forever!
I will definatly make more of an effort to get out more, both with my other half and by myself as for the ps3, ive had a play a few times and just couldnt quite get into some of the game available, that and the few people i do know also have 360's so its the main way we keep in touch. Gotta be other orgers out there who have an xbox and not just me! |

Re: Could use the Org's help...
Suppose if I had any spare time I'd find myself in a similar situation, I only have a couple of people I'd consider friends left in sheffield - everyone seems to have moved to a different city. I work 6 days a week and in any spare time do a degree, fix/ride my bike or moan on here. I try make the best of it though regularly end up having a night/weekend at a mates leeds/york/newcastle/manchester and the odd rideout from this site.
People here are generally a good laugh, so would defintiely advise you to make any rideout you can  |

Re: Could use the Org's help...
no worries mate - think there's a time limit on being able to modify the original post (I can't do it anymore).. Feel free to put a new post out with the original list & your gamertag on there, but be prepared to be the one who has to house keep it
back on topic though, us lot in the pennine massive try and organise a fair few rideouts mate, usually up in the dales or north york moors, sometimes the peak district.. keep an eye on the pennine massive section to see what's going on and you'll be right |

Re: Could use the Org's help...
these guys are totally right
I joined here just before my 21st birthday (its almost my 22nd if you wanna get me a card :P) and i'm at uni, I live with my friends and i go out fairly regularily, but I was told the Org was a forum that actually met up for rideouts rather than just say around keyboard warrioring, and even though i wasnt looking to meet loads of people (i just didnt know any bikers in Sheffield and no one in my home town rode) i just wanted to do some rideouts and have a laugh, this place has completely changed my life. VT is now one of my best friends, just before christmas I'd met her once, and now i regularly go stay with her for weeks at a time, and she's arranged an entire birthday thing for me this weekend and I only got to know her my being involved in her burlesque thread, I've been to several rideouts, including being persuaded to go to scotland a week before the GM by Dave20046, and its hilarious having a few drinks with Paul the 6th. plus the soho massive and the pennine massive are amazing and really welcoming is you just turn up to meets. get chatting, you;ll find people in no time, even if you werent looking! :) |
