Re: Seat comfort?
The pointy seat used to make my bum and other parts numb with pins and needles after 50 miles. I've done 400+ on the 600rr and felt brilliant. Completely comfortable in comparison.
Different heights and legs lengths make a big difference. |
Re: Seat comfort?
I have a custom made seat on mine including a gel pad. But I bought my husband an Airhawk seat for his F650gs and he swears by it. It does look a bit like a whoopee cushion, and at £150 is expensive but you can take it from bike to bike.

Re: Seat comfort?
Good stuff, so the solution is to buy a cbr600rr? Works for me as I wanted one since the test ride anyway.
If I could get a gel seat for £40 I'd do it but eBay has one for £150 so not looking good! |
Re: Seat comfort?
The Corbin seat makes all the difference. Not only is it comfortable but it is about two inches lower than the standard seat. You feel as if your sitting in the bike rather than on it. This also has the benefit of reducing the strain on the wrist. There ridiculously expensive but if your lucky (as I was) you may find one on ebay.

Re: Seat comfort?
I actually found the official gel seat makes some difference but not as much as it should for over £100. If I was rich I'd buy the corbin but can't really justify it. I find motorways a nightmare as you are sat in the same position all the time, which causes a fair amount of pain!
