Cool thread. Coincidentally, I have been looking at picking up an SV for racing! Not that I'm not enjoying the 675 - There are a few more classes and opportunites for a race-prepped SV as the rules are more strict than the 600s so it is relatively easy to build a competitive bike. :)

Keep us updated

You get the picture, I haven't got the hang of welding without contaminating the electrode a lot...

We have a quick prototype of battery box, to live down front somewhere.

Look at all that really heavy metal! Drill some holes in it man!
This is supposed to be a race bike! :D

Nice work! It will need at least one drain hole for the rain I always seem to race in, to get out.. or are the welds already up to that job on the rest of it? ;)

If it fits and stuff it has a date with the plasma-axe.*

The bottom plate does not cover the whole lot, there's a 3/4" gap either side to let water out.

*Doesn't have quite the same ring to it as "gas-axe" does it :(

Nice one. Look forward to seeing the fruits of all Berlin's ( ;) ) hard labour.

+1 I'd never need it but I'd be happy telling people I'm off home to play with it. Although they may just assume I mean something totally different ;)

Nice build YC, dare say I'll come take a nosey at some point.

Based on my workload in Scotland, I'd expect a huge pile of parts arriving a week today.

I always wanted one, cannot justify it to the financial controller though.

I have to make do with my air hacksaw for panel cutting.

I am more narked the YC has TIG in his shed.
