Some fantastic pics by the boys. Especially considering they were taken by phone cameras.

We had mainly 200 mile days after leaving the GM,which I originally thought might be quite difficult considering the road type that we would be on, but the roads were virtually empty and the single track ones usually had good vision, so a quickish pace could be set. One of the boys led, with the lumbering Duke taking up the rear. Raving did have a moment early in the trip with a car coming around the corner and forcing him to use the gravel option. He kept it upright. Thank god.

After Torridon we headed up to Tongue

Numbers used this stop to check his rear again

In the afternoon we found a lovely beach

A pansy smelling the daffodils :p

Embarrassed and exhausted after his beach meanderings, Raving takes a breather

Only to be rudely disturbed by this sight!

Still on the way to Tongue, we stopped for another pic session.

Looking down the cliff side we spotted a caravan

http://i72.photobucket.com/albums/i1...III/gm3181.jpg

How on earth did it get there?

http://i72.photobucket.com/albums/i1.../Capture15.jpg

At gone 5 in the afternoon we find yet another deserted beach. In fact there were lovely looking beaches all along this road.

Raving goes walkabout again

This pic taken by Numbers. Very artistic. Not!

We arrived at the youth hostel around 6pm. It was discovered that there were bike washing facilities, so they were utilised. However not by us but by the boys.

One can only assume the Top Gear boys have been playing with trebuchets again:p

Lucky mofos, this looks awsome, I bet it was nice and relaxing with just a few of you, compared to loads of peeps on the actual GM ride.

I fancy heading up north at some point on a smaller scale, the sheer numbers involved with the big GM rideouts always puts me off.

Absolutely brilliant!

I did a tour of Scotland over a week a few years back. But that wasn't on a bike. I really must do it again by bike.

The Saturday ride wasn't that bad G. You soon end up riding with someone of a similar pace, or up the front, where the pace was quick enough IMO.

Because it was our holiday, we sort of dictated the route for the rest of the week together with daily leave times and, it worked quite well although I think the boys would have preferred a bit longer in bed.

Make a note for next years calendar. Maybe a few more will stay on and do a similar trip. It's well worth the effort.
