Re: Renthal Bar 998cc.com Conversion
As far as i`m aware Mike didn`t have any problems with my clutch cable either?

Re: Renthal Bar 998cc.com Conversion
I can confirm, i have had no issues with the clutch, i did think it was tiny bit tight at first but re-routing it more effeciently sorts it out.
I even think you could get away with the throttles if you re-routed them better. |

To Specialone and Lucky -
Were yours both fitted to an S? |
Re: Renthal Bar 998cc.com Conversion
YES for both. That's the point of the kit isn't it. ;)

Doh - Yes I am today's Div.

Re: Renthal Bar 998cc.com Conversion
The standard clutch cable does work fine, but it's not perfect. Route it one way and it rubs on the yoke on full R/H lock, route it the other way and it kinks a bit at the end of the metal tube on full L/H lock. Most people would be happy with it, but I'm not most people. ;)

Re: Renthal Bar 998cc.com Conversion
So the question arises, would I be better just buying a clutch cable for a naked or a V-Strom "just in case" I have any problems with the routing etc?
It's only about a tenner. If it's not needed in the end, then it's there for emergencies or I could resell it. It also may cut down on the liberal and prolific use of multiple conjoined expletives which is known to occur if I'm having problems when working on the bike. :) |
Re: Renthal Bar 998cc.com Conversion
Well I haven`t fitted the kit but why waste money on buying something you`re not going to need?

Re: Renthal Bar 998cc.com Conversion
I was wondering that?
