If anyone else is suffering from warped discs, they can be straightened by the good people at Hagon, the shock makers, in Hainault, Essex.

I've had loads done by them over the years and they are a damn sight cheaper than buying new discs.

Have you tried to clean the rotor buttons? My Ape suffers from this from time to time.
But this is probably not much help as you say there is no lever pulsing at low speed :/

Do you mean the washers on the floating discs? Mine get full of dirt etc and so when the discs heat up and expand they have no where to really go.

will get some brake cleaner later and give them a good clean with a tooth brush and clener

Yep, when they get dirty the disc cannot float and the lever starts pulsing. Common with Aprilia's discs.

^ just to make it known i dont have aprilia discs, they are triumph 595 disc's and triumph wheel, dosnt mean that they wouldent do the same though
