How do you upgrade to 2.2?

I only got my Desire the other week and I'm new to all this complicated smartphone malarky.

I don't think it's a network specific phone.

From the home screen press menu, settings, about phone, system software updates then click check now.

I'm on orange with a desire. just checked for updates and nothing new yet! Hmmm... they definately rolled it out last week?
