Yeah, I do agree this, I played for a week solid. Sad though, I'd rate it my 2nd favourite game of all time, you missed out!

I have totally enjoyed the 2 Modern Warfare efforts , not a fan of the old WW2 type games , am I right in saying that "Black Ops" is based in the Cold War era ?

My boys are eagerly waiting for this - I've tried one of the CoD games, but I'm too old and doddery these days for fast FPS type games - I'll stick with Anarchy Online or WoW :)

xxbadgerxx: It's set in the Cold War, yes, so Vietnam, etc. I think there might be a mission in Korea.

saw the video a few months ago, graphics look pants (as usual for 360 and ps3) other than that it look pretty good :)

I wasn't bothered about this at all up until I tried MOH at my mate's the other day - garbage.

Black Ops looks like it might be ok. But I'll wait till it's gone down in price.

Keep an eye on Sainsburys , they did a release day price that was stupid on the last one , was something like £27

Save your hard earned dosh people. This is how the whole Call of Duty series is working recently

Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare (developed by Infinity ward) - one of the best PS3 games at the time, loadsa awards, etc

Call of Duty 5: World at War (developed by Treyarch) - positive reviews but had nothing on mod warfare

Call of Duty 6: Modern Warfare 2 (developed by Infinity ward) - out did their first efforts with Modern Warfare 1. Biggest selling game ever in the UK, and second in US. Loads more awards.

Call of Duty 7: Black Ops - it's Treyarch's turn. The screenshots/videos look average.

Save your hard earned money for Modern Warfare 3 when it inevitably comes out. Activision publish these games, and this way they make more money getting some other developers to fit in a game between the excellent modern warfares that infinity ward are responsible for.

It all started with infinity ward. Call of Duty 1 and 2. From then on, Treyarch were responsible for the odd numbered COD installments.
