Re: Daylight saving idea

I work in an industry that is based on GMT all year, changing clocks doesn't get us more day light, it just forces us to adjust the datum by which we measure things. We can generate the same effect by starting the working day at a different time in the winter which is what we do now but we disguise it with the clock change.

Why not leave it at GMT+1? Time zoning really only affects those from about Dundee northwards, 0.5m people against the other 59.5m.

If the Scots don't like it, well they have their own Parliament and they can make their own time zone. So too the Irish.

Get rid of GMT!!!! In fact lets have GMT+2, like they did in WW2, doesn't seem to have hurt anyone.

Agree completely. I've joined the Lighter Later campaign which is lobbying for this.

Leave it at GMT - saves us having two clocks in our office :)

All times are GMT. The time now is 01:47 AM.
