I cant critercise the S3, goes this shiz off a well lubed shovel.
Dont expect Paul to let me have a play in any of his new cars from now on, his pants needed burning after that passenger seat experiance. He could have just put them onto the brakes though to be fair, they'd have been insinorated.
Very nice motor, me likey - as I said to YC its the most fun I've had on 4 wheels.

Own methods? Like... get hammer from van, put hammer through window, job jobbed ;-)

I was working in a house during the summer and a neighbour locked herself out while putting rubbish out, only problem was her baby was inside! Got my ladder off the van and got in through one of the sash windows within seconds!

are people still nicking cars like yours paul? thought they would go for the newer stuff?

well.... the newer s4's and especially rs4's rs6's are more desirable since they're faster and always seem to get used in ram-raids/robberies and then outrun the police before being found as smouldering wrecks on a field. The older rs4's and modified s4's are also very quick and probably a bit easier to steal imo? The recent thefts all seem to have been in places like manchester, nottingham, birmginham & bradford nearer the city centre, but there have also been cars nicked from suburban area's so I'm only on yellow alert at the moment.

could borrow my dad's dog but she'd only give them a disapproving look and a big *SIGH* before sauntering off...

Re: Ever heard of lock bumping?

nearly all locks are pickable at the current time, the best at last time i read is Evva MCS, Evva 3KS also is good and cheeer, Abloy Protec are very good but have been picked and there is a tool to do it.
The Evva is available in Euro barel so you can put it easly into most UPVC type doors, not cheep though :p
You can also get anti pick lock shields, http://toool.nl/images/a/a6/Drumm-geminy.pdf , this is one of the best even resisting cutting disks.
Everything costs money and even with a good lock if they realy want it they will just kick the door down or catch you as you walk out/in.
VAG door keys are so easy to pick though with the right tool its a couple of mins at the most.

Re: Ever heard of lock bumping?

fair comments their TSM, like my dad always said "If it's worth locking up, it's probably worth having" so the moment a half decent thief notices you've got fancy locks, they're gonna know there's something worth nicking... and if they want it bad enough they will find a way of getting it :(

just pays to be vigilant and do what you can to try and stop them I guess
