I got a 3hp oil free 50l sealey one from tool mania Iirc for around £ 160

Thats not a bad idea, wouldnt work for me mind as my work bench isnt perminant its technically a fold out bit of timber on some stumps so its defo not the place to conseal anything.

And did that do all your spraying davido?

certainly did, I read into it a fair bit, what I needed to sustain constant pressure on the hvlp gun (you have a 0.4 nozzle IIRC) I'm pretty sure that 3hp will be the lowest you'll get away with(I can't see me paying for power I didn't need)

Just got back from Costco with my new toy. Quite pleased tbh 94db is quite loud when you're not expecting it though :)

I dunno about the HP but on that stuff you sent me davido it says the HVLP gun requires a steady 7cfm for good spray and this comp' caps out at 8.8 so I should be ok setting the resrictory stuff up to get a decent coverage.

Came with a gravity gun, tyre pump, air probe ad something else I havn't quite worked out yet not bad for the price.

Speaking to a bloke at Costco who saw me looking a bit confused whilst trying to read the spec info on the box he told me he uses it to wash his car...
is that correct can you fix up the hose pipe and use it as a jet wash? Seems a bit extreme to me!

haha remember the first time I fired up a compressor, only wanted to fill my tyres, kegs gota fillin too.

Have fun, remember your crap thinners for gun cleaning, panel wipe, wet n dry, paint, good thinners, hardener, primer, lacquer,mist rattle can, mixing cups and stirrers, funnel, etc etc. And try keep the compressor out of the shed while you spray - and remember to heat it up first too!
