I cant check the oil properly on my bike with the lower fairings on. My arms arent physically long enough to hold the 'bar whilst knelt down.

With the lowers on, you have to be pretty much eye level with the hole cut in the fairing. Obviously with the lowers off you can see at an angle, and even I can do this.

you said it was over filled at first.

if you dont see it when the bike is level then it needs oil....simples

dont bother leaning it just get the bike upright and level

True dat.

The oil window is as much a part of the instrumentation as the clocks are, and unfortunate experience tells this here forum that a surprising amount of people don't fully understand how it should be used.
