Think i might have to give this a go as well next month when i have time, I had the same issue when taking my barends off to give them a paint as mav said drill them out then a pair of mole grips did the job for me

sorry mate i took mine to my local diy place and said can i have something the same size as this. The only thing he had was slightly too long so i chopped a bit of and fitted it.

A good tip to remove bar end screw (curvy model) is to wrap a protector around the bar end (I use a thick piece of leather - old belt) and use a pair of mole grips or gland pliers at the same time as screwdriver, turning both in the anticlockwise direction.

Didn't work for me and ended up drilling the head off, would have saved a lot of time if I'd done this straight away :neutral:

might be worth a go before the screw head is too mullered, if it isnt already :(

i got some new bar ends ,ready to do the mod .but the mini flip front is net on my list.

So looking at the canyon chaser site is it not worth doing to a 650 s pointy? I am concerned as have done it to mine a few months ago and all seems to be ok...but a little bit dubious now!!!:(:(
