Brilliant. Great places but you also have a great eye for a super photo. You are a top bird Melody. By heck, you're gonna have a few stowaways on your next trip!

Angkor Wat is on my bucket list too! Was this what you were referring to when you mentioned snakes and temples?

Great photos Mel. Glad you enjoyed Bolivia so much. You've more or less replicated a few of my trips over there but merged into one massive travelling bonanza. Only i haven't been to Lima before.

Really nice photos...

...Almost do the continent justice. ;)

It must have been freezing for you in Bolivia at the moment? Sure it's the middle of winter there. Did you head anywhere else at all in Bolivia other than the photos? Any interesting stories to share? :)

Yep, it was cold.Middle of the day wasn't too bad, but once the sun set it was bitterly cold. It was a case of woolly hat, socks and gloves to bed. In fact at the salt hotel the electric blanket was on all night.

In Bolivia, we also travelled to Potosi and Sucre. Sucre is beautiful and quite 'chic'. We spent a couple of nights here and I really enjoyed it. Potosi was chaos. We arrived late evening, in the dark and were caught up in the rush hour traffic which was mayhem.

La Paz shocked me. Doesn't compare to anything I've seen before. Initially this trip was meant to be on motorcycles but when I was in La Paz I was glad I wasn't on a bike. The traffic is mayhem, the roads steep and narrow and the pedestrians are fearless! El Alto is only for the brave.:D

Altitude didn't bother me much. Our first night in Bolivia, having left San Pedro, we spent in a hotel in the highlands. Altitude there was 4400m and filling my lungs was a conscious effort. I felt a little light headed, lost my appetite and had a bit of a headache, but by the next morning I was fine. Coca tea was ok but the one hard boiled coca sweet I had was foul.

Interesting stories? . . . are you attending the AR?:)
