how can you not see a car beside you??!?!!?!

oh and that wont fit on my handle bars i dont ride a custom i ride a sports bike!

i have mirrors and wide angle mirrors and do my life saver checks all the time never had that issue

good on him for trying something new.

but you wont ever beat a REAL check all around.

or you can always install a WIDE A** camera at the back and a LCD screen at the front like reverse parking on cars, bit more expensive will be around £100 but same better job

Why cant they just make the mirror curve off at the ends, that will do the same thing...

Load of tosh.

No blind spots? Except for the big oaf sat right in the middle of it.

I also find I have enough problems with my normal mirrors when the suns low beind me. That would blind me.

This seems very similar to those curved mirror which you have at concealed entrances. I'm not 100% certain, and I know they're all over the place, but I thought those were actually illegal due to the distortion it causes and not giving a true reflection.

Just a thought but the comments about the rider blocking part of the view, would the normal mirrors not fill in that gap, making it irrelevent?

I still would not have one myself though, I'm sticking to appropriatly set mirrors and lifesavers.

I have small wide angle mirrors attached to the side mirrors where you would otherwise admire your own gear. I find them quite useful especially when I check around me. They cover the blind spot beautifully. I still do my shoulder checks whenever necessary. TBH, I don't really see a gap in the marker for such a bulky device.

Good thing if it works. I've got a people carrier with dual section regular and convex mirrors and they're excellent. It's a shame most cars don't have them, many of the fast road accidents I see on the way to work are lane change related.

I know that bloke! The idea is not really to use the thing as a substitute for mirrors or lifesavers. It's to let you know something is there so you can take a proper look if needs be - enhanced peripheral vision if you like.

He's got two on his bike to show the two methods of fixing it to faired or naked bikes.

I wasn't convinced when he told me about it but it's really surprising when you see it. He'll need to get some helmet cam footage to show it off properly I think.

I wondered how it would be with the riders position on a sports bike, but apparently it works OK. I'll see if I can blag a go of one when his stock arrives and I'll let you know.

I think he'll find a market for it - commuters, big tourers etc. It's not for everyone, but Steve's a good lad and I hope he has some success with it. He's come up with the idea, got off his a**e and is now actually producing it with his own cash on the line.

Well said Tam. Nice to see a positive view instead of the bitching and carping that seems to make up most of the rest of this thread.
