If you decide on a Canon, let me know befor you buy, I work with a guy that works for Canon and gets staff discount :)

I think the Nikon J1 looks the balls. So sexy, and I think it's exactly what I want, slim, ****easy to use but better lens and image quality than compacts.
But it costs £300,000,000...
