Picking bike up now so will be there for the afternoon session woop woop

Just got back. Managed to get 2 sessions in in the afternoon. Bit of a jip as there were 3 afternoon sessions with NL the week before. Although in this heat it was enough.

The classroom sessions inbetween the riding was a good idea wish I had made all of them. Even if some of the advice the bloke gave was contrary to what everyone else has told me before.

Steven I think I overtook you just after the chequered flag on the final session. You were going pretty quick from what I could see.

Hi L3nny,

I was in group three so if you were in the same group it probably was me, i think i was the only one on an sv650 today i did expect to see more than just myself on a sv.

You didn't miss much in the morning, as both time in our track sessions there were crashes so our sessions were stopped early.

I felt like i was going ok, just frustrating as i didnt have the pace in the straights but was then back with them in the entry to the corners as they had braked so much. But everytime go to a straight they would open up and against my sv i had no chance.

I have definetly got the bug for trackdays now so will be booking in for some more in the future.

Hi Idle

GSXR still going strong??

L3nny 25-05-12 09:28 PM

Oh dear. Crashing on a novice only day would really put you off.

So did you only have 2 sessions in the morning as well??

Yes mate you sorted me well there. Done six days with her now. Engine is running really sweet as a nut, had to spend a bit on consumables like chains/ sprockets, pads and got the discs serviced, but shes been great. Not ready for anything bigger just yet, maybe towards the end of the summer.........I'll let you know ;)

It was three sessions in the morning but the first was a sighting session following behind an instructor for the entire session.

We then had two proper sessions where we could go at our own speed and just overtake on the straights in the morning, but as there were crashes both sessions they were stopped short.

The crashes were both at the same identical point of the track, as you come off gerrads then enter the chicane it was on the exit heading towards the hairpin that they both came off.

It was a bit unerving for myself as being my 1st time it didn't fill me with the upmost of confidence.

That was the same place I crashed at last year. It's a dodgy part of the track.

Slightly less annoyed about missing the morning now.
