I actually meant that you look much younger than 42 . . . .

I don't yet know my rota for December...although I believe I should find out by about...well...December.

Will certainly be there if I'm not working :)

I'd love to, but I don't think that I can make either of those dates due to other commitments.

Possibly. As everyone, too far ahead to commit to a date

Strangely enough I'm the exact opposite. The sooner a date is set the better my chance of making it. Once it's in my diary I'm planning to be there.

I had a look at this place but on Friday and Saturday nights you can only book a table at 7.30 and have to be out by 9pm or you can book for 9.30 to be out by 11pm. I'd rather not go somewhere where they are going to rush us through our meal.

So any other ideas anyone?

At least with La Porchetta we aren't forced to pay a huge deposit, they are quite flexible about changing the numbers on the morning if there are last minute drop outs and we get the room downstairs pretty much to ourselves. Far easier for the person organising it!

I haven't voted on a date because I don't really have a view one way or the other. I understand the desire to try somewhere new, but La P do serve plenty of alternatives to pizza - and they're very tolerant of our presence (and presents). I can't think of anywhere else off the top of my head that would be a viable alternative - but of course someone else may have a bright idea.

That is the end of my not particularly helpful post.

My works Xmas do is the 14th, so heres hoping its not then - oh and I am off up to Scotland for Xmas on the 22nd.

How about La P in Soho - I think they have a downstairs area, they are in Soho AND they kind of know us because we go there fairly often.

Well we are the Soho Massive, not the Islington Posse :p

How about Pulcinella on old Compton street. I assume its still there. Had a Christmas get together there once with about ten in the group. I'm sure they could handle more.
