If i'm cleaning or working on the bike, I always bungee the sidestand to the frame to stop it from folding up if I push it...

OF.uk, totally agree about the indicators, they end up acting like hammers if the bike falls on something soft

fortunately i've never lost her on the stand. a friend however has told me his gsxr750 revved itself off its stand. fired it up, went indoors to get his jacket and lid, came back just in time to see it a tumblin'.

therefore i voted "no"

Guy at work moved my SV650S, with disc lock attached(!) without telling me and didn't get it back on the stand properly. Went to remove the disc lock in the dark and down she went. Bill so far stands at £585.00 as it's a non standard paint job; been in the shop for 3 weeks already waiting for parts and will be at least another 2 waiting for the paint shop. Work is picking up the tab at least but still well dis-chuffed.

Came off my bike at the SV meet at Boxhill last Autumn, breaking the clutch lever and gear shift. Managed to ride home though.

Got the bike repaired, and decided to clean it as soon as it was rideable and to lube the chain, and go for a long awaited ride. I got talking to my wife at the door as I moved it forward, and obviosuly didn't put the stand down properly. Down it went and broke.............

........the clutch lever and gear shift!!!!!

Oh blast!

my favourite story was one facing down a steep hill (fool)
another was on my drive way.

to be honest though there's always been one common factor, ME, knocking it or pushing it or comething else stupid like that
