Do you notice the people that slow down to avoid overtaking you above the speed limit? I hate people like you.

A friend of mine who's police trained, thinks that you don't even need the shirt. An appropriate saloon car, and the correct gesturing with the headlights, and the parting of the traffic is biblical!

Done a bit of homework this bike/ rider isn't known to the police and needs reporting, If anyone does see this bike can you send its details i.e registration, make, model and markings to me so I can report it. Just for your knowledge there is a national police operation to record and investigate these vehicles due to the international terrorist tactics of using emergency services vehicles to get through security measures. Most are ex- emergency services vehicles bought by innocent unaware people but some are bought for the wrong reasons and need a quiet chat!

many thanks, I can chill out now!
work hat officially off!! 8)

 you must be, only a real copper would refer to themselves as a 'real' copper compared to a CSO. :)

Apparently this is because the new chief didn't want money "wasted" on officers enjoying their hobbies, instead of filling out paperwork.

Dunno about the latest one but the last Kent C/C said pretty much that at an introductory chat he gave shortly after he took the job. Can't recall his exact words but the gist of it was about traffic departments taking a disproportionate amount of funding and technical resources for their limited results and as far as bikes went, he didn't agree with paying a load of blokes to follow their hobby! This would have been about seven or eight years ago.

He also said he wasn't going to have any truck with this "policing by consent" guff. Trouble is this got me thinking there's a name for a police force (sorry, service) that polices without the consent of the population.. seven letters, begins with G, ends with O...
