Asbestos removal is now very expensive. Expect men in white paper suits, full face masks, gloves and boots. It's like the police crime forensics crew

My dad and I managed to get rid of a heap of asbestos sheets before the new environmental rules came into force :D :D . Just hire a JCB, and dig a massive hole. Way cheaper...

Deterents - thanks to HSE nanny state rules, then you can't install barbed wire, trip mines, or pointed up nails anymore  But you can install covert CCTV, and spy on the little b*stards..... also plant sneakily placed sharp rose bushes behind the fence should they decide to climb the fence  you hear the howls of pain everytime, plus it's 100% legal and effective..

My garage warning system is a blank filled shotgun cartridge linked to a trip wire firing pin. Should they get through the breeze blocks and mean mother of door deadlock bolt first....
If any little scrotum tries to get in my shed, they'll be deaf for a week

I'll probably get sued for personal hearing injuries though... they shouldn't be near or in my garage anyway..... lock 'em up in Guantanamo Bay for a couple of months to teach them a lesson..

Not true. You have to have reasonable evidence that criminal activity is being commited on your premises - Data Protection Act!

i installed cctv on my driveway and the old bill said as long as its filming my property its ok, you CANT film or watch the public street.

Goot rid of my old asbestos garage a couple of weeks ago. All I had to do was wrap the sheets in plastic (cheapo dust sheets) and take it to the council dump that had an asbestos bin free of charge.

tis true, we did this, but you can't exceed your personal yearly allowance, friend of mine demolished an old (double) garage roof and they told him he had too much, but said as long as you personally can carry it to the skip, they don't want to touch it, so he paid two burly labourers off site so that they could carry more

silly rules

Cant believe this Grinch  I hope everything gets sorted and they catch the little scrote

This is really crap, and 2 hours for the police to get out thats even worse, this country seems to be going to pot.

Just think in America you would be allowd to fire at the offending intruder with a big old gun if he was on your property, America is not perfect by any means but hell thats gotta be a good thing, defending ones property.

What is wrong with this world :(

Why does that make a difference? They send police in a hurry when there's still someone there to catch. In this case, if they'd arrived after 5 minutes or 5 days it makes no odds... And chances are, the only things they could do the kid for is tresspassing- you can't call it breaking or entering or criminal damage if someone accidentally falls through a roof, even if they had no place being there in the first place.
