I put my knee down I front of a marked police car and didn't get anything.
In my defense it was 8:30 on a Sunday morning (on my way to work) with no traffic around. Also it was a military police car (I pass the big MOD Abbeywood site on the way) so I'm not sure if they even have juristiction? But wouldn't recomend someone finding a normal police car to try it out with! |
A wheelie will get you a nick for not being in full control of the vehicle, as you can't steer or brake if the wheel is in the air, spinning the rear would probably be the least troublesome - it's something that could be done accidentally.
A knee down winds the old bill up good and proper - it's not in Roadcraft thus it shouldn't happen, they didn't get taught it when they got their licence to Pan so it can't possibly be OK, remember Police training can - and somehow always does - turn it's recipient into a superhuman incapable of error, no-one rides as well as them, not never nohow, and if it's not a technique they use it can't be OK, 'cos no-one knows better than they do. |

In my experience, there is no point arguing the toss, they are not interested in anything you have to say!! Your riding is carp, you are not in control, they are superior in every way!! If you get caught and pulled doing anything, then I think you are best to just pull over, be polite and answer questions directly. Then just turn round, drop your trousers and let them rip you a new one (or whatever they want to do ). Trying to explain/excuse yourself will only aggravate them, however sensible what you have to say is, they seem to have a list of automatic comebacks and dismiss it straight off!! BTW last time I got pulled it was my own fault really … I was feeling cheeky and raced a marked Pan Euro away from the lights!!! My bad?!!? :D |
