If I had my way the bike test would be a one shot deal. Then we would have less people racing to get it over and done with asap and perhaps the standard of those with licenses might increase!

There are some of us that passed first time u know? :P :P :P

At least I'm not an arrogant cocky so and so over passing first time! :P

Guess we're not all as good as you Peter  I think I would have passed first time had I not done that tank stand as I pulled into the test centre. I thought it was good but my examiner wasn't too pleased.

I am not boasting fellas just pointing out a fact. However my test was taken at a relatively sedate pace due to the chap running in front with the flags being a little past his prime. :P

But the fact also is that a lot of people have severe nerves in a test situation. Doesn't mean to say that they're bad riders. And nobody rides perfectly all the time, I make mistakes, and I don't believe anyone who says they don't.

I wasnt nervous at all before or during the test. Went in there with "if i pass i pass if i fail i fail" way of thinking and when i failed just thought aww thats a pain, going ot have to rebook and pay more money.

After only 2 days on a bike (3 if you include my CBT last month) im happy with only 4 minors. Just not realising how close that cyclist was was my downfall... but now i wont make that mistake again!

Thats the most important thing. Don't let it get you down. Just get some more practice before you do your test again and you'lll ace it.

Good luck for your next test
