Take an umbrella :lol: Grant if you haven't got a back protector yet, look at getting one with a built in kidney belt like the the Knox Contour. I have been riding with a kidney belt since I first started riding, with a back protector over it. I now have one of these which I wear everyday. The kidney belt will provide extra support for your back and stop you getting pain on long journeys.

It seems that I have managed to wangle the 7th off work - can someone precis what I am supposed to do now? getting off work is the easy bit... :lol:

Here is a proposed route down.

Route starts at the Edinburgh bypass at the A7 @ 10AM.

I have built in a couple of hours for fag / fuel stops etc. A bit boring for the middle section but the start and end should be OK.

I could have planned it for non-motorway for just about the whole way but I suspect that we would have to leave too early to do something like that.
