running in to the book is only anygood if your keeping the bike 20years!
the damage caused is at the end of the engines life, if you are like me and keep a bike for 2 maybe 3 years max run it in how you like :wink:

Each to their own, but if you're like me, run it in by the book. I don't intend on keeping my bike longer than 5 years, but if I do keep it 5 years, it will of covered 120,000 (yes, really) miles - probably more as that's JUST using the bike for commuting!
