Because riding makes me cackle like Dr. Lector at a fat farm

Its a thinking thing or maybe a non thinking thing.
When i'm out and riding, all i can concentrate on is the next corner, the right line, the right squirt of grunt, it takes your mind off all the mundane stuff that we all have to put up with.
I suppose its a kind of meditation, all other thoughts take a back seat, pure concentration.
That said i quite often get to places and cannot remember much about the journey!
Its an escape, a freedom thing, being anonymous and feeling free.
And its 100 times more exciting than moving around in a car.

I need transport to work during the week , don't have access to a car , however the bike is a lot more than transport.
I find that it one of the few ways of escaping , I can go crazy or just chill & escape ,also made a lot of good friends .
As already mentioned Riding a bike keeps me sain in a increasing crazy world , that is speeding up every day

Cheers Steve

started as a way to get out of commuting by tube into london. was heavily bitten by the bug & now I can't get enough

I also scuba dive, so it's a member of my dangerous, expensive hobbies collection ;-)

Live / Work in London - Cars just not an option :) plus they are fun!

Why do I have a bike - same reason I do alot of things - because I want to, I can do, so I do do.

Tee hee hee, I said 'doo doo'!
