In Britain, 70mph like any other effing vehicle!
130mph on any motorway proves nothing and is irresponsible imo.

And before anyone says it, yes I do go faster than the speed limit on occasions, but don't understand the fascination of top speed.
Acceleration and handling prove a vehicles worth imo.

Same here; I've shown that my bike can do 100 mph, but to be completly honest its not all that interesting, and tales that begin "I was doing 140 mph....." are replied with a yawn. I prefer tales beginning "So i was on a twisty road at 45 mph..."

No skill in holding a throttle against the stop, but lots in getting the heffer round corners...
