We all sit at home writhing with our consciences when we see that you are right all the time Mr PH

I think next year's title race will be dominated by the bikes rather than the riders. All are starting from a clean slate, and whoever gets it right soonest will win the title. Now let's see who is rather good at developing race bikes from a slightly iffy base?
Answers on a postcard.

Err, Rossi?

He is gonna have the fight of his life to even get close next year...remember where you read it first!

If you turn out to be right then it'll be because you're just lucky when it comes to guess work!

Rossi didn't fall on his own sword to lose the title - all the races carry the same amount of points and the last race was as important as the first. In which, indecently, he was knocked off though no fault of his own.

My reference was with respect to the final race where due to circumstances Valentino did indeed screw up. You conveniently seem to overlook the blatant error by officials over the "yellow flag" incident which in itself handed Valentino points that he rightly should not have had.

Guess work for next year's champ? Hell yeah!

I just hope that McWilliams gets the Ilmor ride as that could provide certain privileges to yours truly at the Spanish venues next season.

Oh here we go. Rossi makes one mistake and 'snap', all of a sudden he wil not be in with a chance next year. Get real. He will have yet another amazing season, so just live with it.

I agree. Valentino had a lot of bad luck this year, as much as I wanted to see Hayden win it I think Rossi will take it back again next year.

He has proved that he has a real talent for developing and setting up a bike already, the M1 was hardly winning races every other week before he moved. Lets not forget Hayden as well, who has shown that he can do a fairly good job at it after winning the title on a brand new bike.

Although not accumulating as many points as he would have liked to in the latter half of the season, I think Hayden did amazingly well despite Honda's attempts to sabotage his title dreams...by insisting he continued to use a defective clutch for some 6 races.

How does that compare with yer man Rossi's "bad luck?"

Great bike developer our Valentiono,so much so that he could not give the required input to the technicians regarding handling on the 2006 M1 and so they referred back to the 2005 frame! :D

Err it also shows that Hayden has enough development nouse to help Honda turn a non winning bike in to a winner just like Rossi has done with the Yamaha. The American suffered in silence and got on with the job, somewhat different than HRC's former lead rider Maximillian Biaggi.

For your first 800cc champ look no further than someone who has a proven record in 250 racing....you know who the normal suspects will be. (If yer dont...Rossi,Pedrosa,Capirossi,Melandri,Crasher(to a degree))

Take the equation further...good in 250's and of smaller stature.....Melandri,Pedrosa,Capirossi.

Tubbers like KR and Barros will not stand a chance.

For what it's worth I believe that although Rossi's fall at Valencia was not his onlyy track mistake all season...anyone who thinks so is a fool.....his BIG mistake was to have his head filled with all that Ferrari b*llocks in the earlier part of the season. Therefore questions about his focus during 2006 had to be raised and if it was any other rider I am sure Yamaha would have made this point to him.
