I'm sure this is right, but I may be shot down...

Just put some insulation tape over the 'NOT FOR ROAD USE' marking. The MOT inspector is not permitted to remove the tape, and if he cannot see the marking he cannot include it in his test report.

s'what I've heard anyway and it worked for a friend. He even got the sarky comment from the MOT inspector who'd seen it all before!

Seems strange though. I thought the MOT included a db test?

if they cant read not for road use its at the testers discretion.
