To be predictable, I'd say lok at a couple of Honda's at least; the new Hornet has to be worth a try, and if you fancy a sports bike, the '07 600RR is meant to be the dogs danglies.. And as Lyn is very keen to point out, the CBF 1000 is very comfortable and capable.

Can't see why you'd look at an ER6, you're not getting anything that your SV gives you really. Somebody mentioned the new Aprilia "Shiver". I must say I am going to get a test on one of those, it combines the lazyness of the v-twin motor with almost 100 brake, which I quite like the sound of.

Make a long list, and try and get it down to 4 or 5 and then go test them. Always keep something different in their, just to try it (last I did this mine was the 1200GS Beamer, which I hated, but at least I tried it).

If you are looking for a more upright ride but fancy keeping to twins tyou might want to check out the Aprilia Tuono.

Without a doubt Pidc0cks triumph in long eaton have on for 5k, but why buy a sit up and beg bike lol ? definatly not for me, if i had 8k i would buy a 675 and put the rest into the SV get it upgraded Alot lol,
or turn it into a mini twin track bike...

That GSXRTT looks verrrrrrrrrrrry verrrrrrrrrrrrry tasty.

Sorry it's not for sale at the moment - this is very much in the "thinking about" stage and my fresh cash won't be here for a month or 2 plus I'll be living in England by that stage so not so handy.

Thanks for all the thoughts there guys. It's certainly given me something to think about and a few test rides to book \\:D/

I went for a spin on sat and stopped off at a bike shop, sat on a GSXR600K7TT limited edition... Very nice bike! Lovely pearl blue paintwork.. £8k gives you change as the insurance is £99 comp!
