well, yes. That is an option cos it records the output from the DVD player. It does take the whole running time of the DVD to copy though I thought, yes?

IIRC they're encrypted to stop(well, make it a bit harder) copying on a PC, which is faster to burn.

I tried to copy all my vodeos onto DVD using a DVD/Video recorder. Most of the videos were copy protected so I couldn't.

I wish I still had my old dvd player, it had a macro-disable function, although apparently totally illegal, it meant you could copy and dvd copyrighted or not

Top tips :thumleft:, although you might find it hard to get dvd decrypter as it was pulled. I stil have a copy though *cough* Ifoedit is also really handy, and for those that want easy backups dvd fab is supposed to be ok.

That is the stupidest thing I have heard. The point is not whether you get caught, but the act in the first place. That's like saying it's ok to mug old ladies as long as they don't catch you!

We have had this argument on here before. Said the same thing then as I say now - If you don't own the copyright, then don't copy it - simple. Just because you can, doesn't mean you should.
