My riding style is "crippo/policeman". This has been kindly refered to as the Hailwood School... But it works, since from my lofty non-hung-off riding position I can see for miles, and I'm thinking about going round corners instead of getting my knee down

My style - BOF:D

I'd agree with that Luckypants. Deceptively fast, smooth and confident.

My style?

Riding like I stole it. :p

Mine changes depending on who with, where and when I'm riding.

50% of the time I'm commuting defensively in textiles sitting as upright as i can trying to predict and see everything and anything that could happen whilst commuting before it actually does.

25% of the time I ride with my girlfriends dad and friends, who all teach ROSPA/IAM/DAS, this mostly consist of me trying to learn as much of their advanced lines and techniques as I can take in.

25% of the time I'm out hooning by myself solo using a mixture of the above and just having fun. Unless I'm making very good progress I rarely find it necessary or of any benefit at all to move about massively on the bike.

What is funny is following your typical fairweather weekend warrior on his SS1000, completely hanging off the bike twitching all over the place at a stupidly slow pace. Whilst your sat behind being held up on a relatively budget 650.

as for racing styles im experimenting... im going for the tucked in sort of style which involves no hanging off ( or very little ) just seeing how that goes
as for mr patterson.. what he didnt tell you is is that for 1% of his riding he likes to over take cars on corners near matlock lol, ;) then leaving everyone behind caravans for 5 mins lol, and having to pull over lol,

Ahhhh however I have ridden that road 20000000000 time before, I cant remember the exact part where I did that but on the whole route corners that appear blind but often arnt. Theres several parts where you can look and monitor way way ahead and see thats nothing is coming to plan overtakes :p.

I would never over take without knowing its safe to do so ;) my mortgage depends on it.
