See?

i dont quite see what my screen name, a numerical string has to do with -ve numbers,

I am not thick and can cleary understand how you get -ve numbers... however what is higher than -5 is it -4 or is it -6...? then if you add a number to a -ve does it become more negative of positive?

its just something I amongst many others strugle to grasp.

- 4 is greater in lavue than -5

Example
You owe sarah 5 pounds balance -5
you get paid 10 pounds
you give sarah the 5 and have 5 for yourself balance 5
see?

(sarah we'll split the fiver ;))

Unbelievable how people aren't even prepared to accept they're wrong.
I honestly didn't know that people struggled with minus numbers in such simple terms. It's like someone complaining that 0.8 should be a greater value than 7 because 8 is a larger number than 7.

Just wondering if people have a problem with fractions as well.

Which is bigger, 3/9 or 2/6?

No the will not! The female spawn will be with child at 16 so they can get a council house and wages (benefits) and any males will be living in similar council houses with someone who looks very like their sister.
It's aspirational...

Now then, no need to confuse matters.

3/9 = 6/18

2/6 = 6/18
