LOL it is a good question.
I passed my test and rode a 600 Bandit for just over a year and I would say the SV650 is BRUTAL compared to it.
Wind on the throttle just that little bit too much in the wet and the backs spinning up (it is fun though!!!!) :smt028

I did my test on a gs500. I didn't think it was that bad, although a bit small.
The SV is a LOT quicker, a little bit bigger and a LOT better to look at!

I do find the SV a little small as well.
I'm 6'5" and a few people have said that an SV would be too small for me, but I had my heart set on one!
Has anybody used one of the jack up kits using the longer dog bones?
I know this won't alter the distance between the seat and the pegs, but would raise the seat height a bit?

Good modification to do, helps improve the steering of the SV and makes us lanky people not look so stupid sat at the lights. As you said it will make no difference to the seat and peg distance, a nice set of rearsets will do that.

I'd recommend putting in some different springs in the front forks when you jack up the rear end, helps to balance out the SV's suspension again.

Jack up and lowering dog bones are available here.
