Re: My new (or not) Car!
ICE doesnt have to be expensive these days though. Can pick up a CD player for under £50 which is half decent. Just dont go buying no brands, goodmans or Alba. JVC should do the trick.
Put a set of speakers up front if theres space and thats all you'll need. Less than £100 will sort you out for the winter months. Look in the free-ad papers or on Ebay for cheap Alloys/tyres |
Re: My new (or not) Car!
The best way of making a stereo in a car sound good is bass. Lots of it. You can get a kit with amp, box, sub and wiring kit for less that £100 from here.
Well worth the outlay I reckon! |
Re: My new (or not) Car!
Ive got a Kenwood HU (old) hooked up to a JBL GTO amp into a set of 8" Pioneer Coaxials. Ive got no space for a sub but the Pioneers do a good job. Running the factory tweeters straight from the HU adds just lifts the sound stage a little.

Re: My new (or not) Car!
For budget stereo that sounds good, get a jvc head unit and jbl speakers/amp/sub. Could get a whole system for less than £200 to include all cables that would sound sweet. Or just head unit and speakers for a ton should do it.
Switch for the ignition/fuel pump is a good idea though I doubt many people would chose to steel that civic!! Regards |
Re: My new (or not) Car!
Just get a pipe like mine on bike, then you don't need a stereo.
Cars should be stripped out, tuned up. Then you can f### off the chavs in their bean-can special stereo sound shopping trolleys. |
