10 hours with the test on March 11th. If I pass first time and if I can afford the £1k insurance on a motor after then I'll be safe. But that feels like an eternity in the current climate.

I know the feeling, I have no idea if I'll still be in this job in march :(
Insurance is a killer, hard to take after having it on the bike as well. I don't think I could want a car enough to pay that :p

That and little 125's are easy to keep rubber side down with a bit of boot. Hard work with the weight of an SV or similar

True, but I'd rather chuck £300 worth of ratty Honda 125 on the tarmac than my GSXR...
