I paid £72 for DID X-ring chain and sprockets for the DRZ. It is the same pitch as an SV one (525) and 112 links, so a couple more links than an SV. Give Hunters Motorcycles a ring on 01912618592.

I fitted this myself as the DRZ is OK with a split link.

Thanks.

I'll give them a tinkle and see what they can do it for, as I'll probs just get local garage to fit it but the one they quoted me for is £110 or 112 plus labour I think they said.

I am quite surprised that no one has confirmed if the when checking the slack in the chain and when the pictures were taken that the bike was in neutral as this will effect drastically the slack found in the chain.

I checked it whilst it was in neutral, wasn't sure whether it had to be in gear.

There is a red link on the chain, got to get it booked in and sorted but at the minute no rush, exams, poo weather.

A mate is coming to have a look tomorrow to see what he thinks, however in conclusin a new chain & sprocket is required.

Good point! I assumed (and we know what assumptions are the mother of) that everyone knew to check chain slack in neutral since you need to move the chain around to check the slack at several different points.
