Nah just run it as high as possible without splashing oil on the tyre.

Set mine so it flings onto the rear wheel and then back it off a couple of stops .

That's what I'm trying to do as well.
Does your chain look dry after a few (~20-30) miles of rain riding?

Nope, still fair wet with oil. That's just cheap 10-40 from the supermarket at the moment.

I'll need to turn mine up then. I'm getting 400-500 miles from the reservoir with old 15-50 + sthil mix.
Works fine in the dry, but after a rainy 30 miles chain looks dry.

Could it be anything to do with the positioning of the dripper?

Don't think so, it's getting lubed properly, but washes off in the rain.

Just wondered if the rain was washing it away before it could get onto the chain properly.
Can't blame me I'm a manual luber:p
