My sentiments entirely :smt001 (apart from liking Cheryl Cole - I'm not a fan personally ;))

Simon Cowell seemingly has a hidden agenda (goodness knows what though!) as it was the chance he was waiting for (and the rest of us) for him to out them and he didn't! wtf!!

My other half watches it and occasionally I have to sit through it.

SC doesn't give a rats ass about whether they have careers or not, it's all about money, and he's making plenty!

Chico has really made it. He's starring as 'Aladdin' in the panto in Darlington this year, alongside 'Darlington's favourite', the 'Grumbleweeds'.

I used to enjoy the auditions but then as soon as things became serious I got bored. At the end of the day its an entertainment program. If this Lucy is as good as people keep saying she is then some agent somewhere will have seen her perform and she'll pick a record deal up easy enough. To be honest, is being known as the "winner" of one of these reality shows all that good a thing anyway? Thanks to the show they might have one decent chart topping album which has only got to the top because all the people who originally voted have gone and bought the album. Next time they release new material people will have forgotten about them and will be too busy getting hooked on the new contenders for the title in the next series.

All a con if ya ask me, if you've got talent you've got it, noone can take it away from you and someone will want to make use of it somewhere.
