ps. Keithd - They aren't just designed for proximity explosions, they can be programmed to explode on contact too

Still, I'd rather just ignore them than blow them up for being sea-pikeys :D (love that expression)

Forget the torpedos, I don't think it'd remain habitable for long after a few rounds from one of HM's destroyers.

How do you get on and off Sealand? Is it helicopter access only?

The guy is a tool, he shot and killed a 'trespasser' back in the day but jurisdiction for a trial could never be decided. The RN don't want to know as it's not a ship (tho it was floated in position) and other agencies say it's a wreck and aren't interested so they guy just sort of sits there with it.

The Red Sands forts are far spookier...

I had a browse around, they use a RIB and have a winch to haul it up to the platform.

Wasn't the initial idea of declaring the island it's own principality, purposefully to evade tax?
