Micras are a good sized first car so the chances are that someone will keep it for a year so they gain a years NCB.
10 years isnt really a long time when it comes to vehicles (look how many 1999 bikes are on here).
My freelander has just passed 80k on a 99 plate and Ive had it over a year and its got an MOT.

Oi I am now riding a 20 year old bike that has only done 31K miles, but your premis is right. Most people if they have any sense buy an older car so they can get no claims and if they bin it doesnt affect their finaces too much
