you bunch of miserable People...

If you have no religion you might as well not join in, its about the day our saviour was born,

that aside because you cant help but get involved in the commercialism, I love the prep, the house looks great Kitten is having fun and we get to treat ourselves which we dont normally. It helps I get on with my family,

just because muslims in our country celebrate thier religious festivals doesn't mean you have to join in with that "faff" so why whine about joining in with the Christians?

Ill tell you what you can do with your bah humbugs.... :-)

To be fair, not many Muslim festivals have adverts on TV 2 MONTHS ahead of the time. Also, I am not prevented from working on them, can't shop on them, etc.

I have never really liked christmas, even as a child. Now it is a nightmare, especially when My wife's birthday is in early December and my daughter's birthday is inbetween christmas and new year.
What gets me annoyed the most is the bullsh*t surrounding christmas, why should we be kind to others just because it's christmas, we should be doing that ALL year round. Christmas is about the birth of Jesus, not about giving presents.
Personally I wish ALL religious holidays were banned, hell ban all religion! ( PS: believing in God is not the same as believing in a religion ).
If I find that Santa Guy trying to get into my house, then i'm going to shove a baseball bat up his ....!
BAH HUMBUG!

the way i look at it, its something that will always be celebrated, its here to stay, so get busy living or get busy dying to quote a famous film

i could do like many have posted on here and walk about through the festive period with a face like a slapped **** moaning about this that and the other, or i could have fun, join in and not bitch about whats wrong with everything!!

Hate, nay loathe the commercial side of it with a passion (maybe it's because I spent a few years working in retail over Xmas). But, I do like the time off and the fact that many of my friends also have the same time off which rarely happens and it's great to catch up.

I hate Xmas music and the fact that it's rammed into my ears from October.

I hate every advert on TV pressuring people into over spending on tat.

I hate the fact that EVERY year there's a 'something' that Z-List celebs latch themselves onto (books/perfumes etc).

I hate that every little brat in the land now expects a PS3 or an Xbox360 every year just for existing.

I've also got a few other underlying reasons for not enjoying this time of year but generally I just get on with it and enjoy the (albeit forced) time off.

Love Christmas and love december!
it doesn't have to be expensive - we have a limit on everyone present and we stick to it
Handmade cards and handmade presents from me. made throughout the year.
Love the lights and the smiles on the kids faces

Hate the commercialism but I do try to stay away from that
Its a great time to wind the sister in law up, feed the kids stuff they shouldn't have and hand them back to the parents, generally be even more of a kid than usual.
and have the weekly meeting of the family, drink and be merry. In that respect nothing really changes

I like chrismas, i like beign with my friends, my family, good food and crappy films and bike dvd's

i dont like the cost, which is why this year i've spent less money but prepared what i think are far more thoughtfull gifts

i like it because its an excuse to wear my silly hat and decorate my bike

and its the only time of year I get out the glitter and glue and scissors and make maria a christmas card :D
