If you don't mind me asking, how much did this trip set you back? Incl needed equipment but excluding the bike?

Things I bought specifically for the trip would be stuff like:

Muffs - £45
Petrol Stove - £50
Icebreaker base layer - £50

If I were doing it again I'd buy a balaclava, borrowed one off chris and it's a lifesaver...

I borrowed stuff like the winter sleeping bag that'd have cost me £100+ and never get used again, the bike already had the expensive stuff like pannier/topbox and tank bag

Motels are ~£50/night and you'll be filling up with fuel every 250km at ~15euros a pop, so 150euro in fuel

Channel Tunnel is £30 each way
