no wonder its a wheelie machine, the seat is really far back, suprise you dont dislocate your shoulder when you open it up. have fun when you finally get out on it, but remember, the real fun comes when your cleaning it when you get home afterwards :smt023:

Its an odd riding position, the footpegs are a kinda sporty position, and the tank is quite long, the handlebars seem like drag bars. Its not until you sit on it, that you find it quite good, but not for tall people. Its neither sit up and beg, nor sit over like clip ons.
I don't feel the seat is quite far back, but then I'm used to it, already having one in the house before, just never ridden one as yet properly. One thing that does hit you is wind at over 70mph, hits you right in the chest, hence the need for the screen, even the most burly of men have found this a problem, even with a screen it doesn't take it all away, but I'm hoping being slightly smaller(5'7) I'll get behind a screen and its gone.

No wonder the Raptor has a reputation for being a wheelie machine, its all down to the weight in the ass end!

Just the setup of suspension. It needs another foot of ride height in back and it might handle ;)

The village people ride these? Explains a lot.

Pete says it handles lovely, in fairness better than his z1000 did, which I was surprised at.
However we ain't adjusted owt since it was bought, so a quick fiddle will be in order, doubt it'll make much difference though, doubt I'll notice. As you know its naturally a low bike anyway*. I aren't looking to shove anything else on it yet shock wise.

* knee height, no need to lower for shortasses

His giggles and face made me chuckle, he was like a little boy with a new toy! A much splendid afternoon, even Pete was laughing..the retort of 'oh I'm not interested in what bikes with no cans sound like' soon changed to 'fooookin hell, thats nuts' especially when it was blowing stuff up the garden into the kitchen:p

I think it has the YC seal of approval. It went something along the lines of
'oh I think you'll have fun on it, it sounds pretty reasonable':smt045
