There's one of our admin staff who has taken an dislike to my immediate colleague, who just happens to be the careful, consciencious a dilligent member of the team. Reports him to line management, making things up. She is nasty and spiteful. The line management know this but haven't dealt with it yet.

Interestingly, her attitude has changed now that jobs are under threat ;-)

Like everyone else, the blokes are much easier to work with. Sure, there are the occasional disagreements (it's a stressful job) but they are short lived and when they are done they are done.

No problems with our office well not since the old boss left and the girls that was causing all the problems stopped getting ******** left right and centre. She's turned into a really nice colleague who is now seeing what we all saw in the boss.
Maybe it helps that we all hate the same person though.

the womens here are terrible. bitching and moaning about each other, about the management and no doubt about me too. of course none of it is said to my face or to whomever theyre venting their poorly aimed anger at. and my god do they evesdrop! then (as was mentioned earlier) the chinese whispers start. only 2 weeks ago we had a woman in tears because she "over heard" the boss say yep as soon as that is installed she'll be out of a job... of course she didnt start booing to the boss, she went to another woman colleagues office.

Some women at work are a real pain in the bum

I suffer one woman who is desperate to prove she is so superior to me. She is a customer services manager, her customer being the site that hosts us. I don't do any work for that site, am not interested in it I simply need an office and that is the nearest company site to my home. So she delights in telling me I have no authority there and to keep out of any conversations, not to give advice or anything else. So now I don't, I ignore everyone.

I also had a secretary whose opening line when I inherited her. (Requested a secretary and HR magicked her out the cupboard) I don't make tea, I don't do shorthand. So what do you do?

But best of all was one programmer I asked at her annual appraisal how she liked working in such a male dominated environment. Great, it is more letching and less bitching than my last job.

There was one woman though who used to complain if she did not get her fair share of sexual harassment.

I tend to not get bothered by it too much now. It used to really upset me. I had a few colleagues of the female variety that always tried to make things difficult for me as I was the new girl and really young and stuff. They did a lot of stirring, back stabbing and bitching about me. Things came to a head and it was one of the many reasons I nearly left the job (read, got pushed out of the job) just before my 2 years probation was up and I ended up just putting my head down and concentrating on what I wanted to do.

Now, the probably continue to bitch about me but it doesn't really bother me because I don't spend time with any of the ones who ran back to tell me "so and so said such and such about you" because I realised they were just as bad. I also don't get it so bad as there are lots of other examples of "fresh meat" to target.
