Dave: I managed to get it recovered to the UK at BMW and the insurer's expense. Then they wrote it off, which cleared my outstanding finance on it and I bought it back dirt cheap and had new forks (the only non-aesthetic bit which was damaged) fitted. It handles like new now. :D It's an F800GS.

you were the first orger I met on my first AR when you came straight over and showed me how to put my tent up- ha I still think of you and the boy scouts when I roll my door up inside out.. every time I put the tent up all over France and Andorra with fizz and viper I chuckled when doin the door..
