whats a mini flip front anyway NTECUK?

Payner: I read about this on canyon chasers page and he mentions that over time you could wear tha plastic due to the throttle shutting off.

Theres loads of threads about it on svrider.com

On a proper mini. Remove the front inner wings and all. Fit brace bars and a one piece that has wings, front panel and bonnet .lots of acesses to the engine etc then :)

fitted my r6 throttle tube this avo. 30 inute job including drilling off the fooked screw head.

By luck as soon as i drilled the head off, the screw came out easily. I was a tad lazy and just slackened off the throttle cables at the throttle tube end.Tight to get back on, but was also a good chance to lube up the cables.

BUT...............................wowow what an improvement, for £10 its the best mod you can do on a curvy sv.

Payner, don't bother with it. I tried it on my S and it didnt fit well at all. Almost dangerous in fact, had a tendency not to stop where it should do.

Anyone want an R6 throttle tube?

I've googled those part numbers but don't see anyone actually selling them in the UK - do you buy from a local Yamaha dealer or something?

I fitted one to my SV650 Curvy (straight swap) and then again to my SV1000S - you have to trim a little off the stop points to make it work properly on the pointy models - I just loosely fitted it and trimmed a little away until I could see I was getting full throttle and full stop on the throttle linkage - however you can use this image to guide you...

POINTIES ONLY!!
